Tigard Diamond Sports requires all volunteers to register and have a background check performed before they can participate as a volunteer. The process is free and easy. As part of the registration process you will be signed up for a membership (this is our coach volunteer portal) and your background check will be submitted as part of the process. You will receive three emails at the completion of this one to allow you to see the status of your background check, one explaining membership in the Coach volunteer pool, and one with links to the training classes that need to be taken. There are 2 training courses that must be completed ( Youth Protection and Concussion Safety) prior to rostering on a team. After that, you will receive an ID badge that will need to be displayed whenever you are participating in a Tigard Diamond Sports event, practice or game.

TDS will not be able to roster you to a team, or allow you on the field with out the required trainings complete, and your background check is back from our vendor. This process had been taking about 48 hours.
